LIGHT

Scripture: 1st John 1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him,
and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the
life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the
darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:1-5 NKJV

John a disciple of Jesus Christ also known as “beloved disciple” has written
the Gospel of John, the three letters and Revelation . Unlike the Gospels of
Matthew , Mark & Luke he presents Christ from eternal past. His purpose for
writing is that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, Son of God and
that by believing you may have life in His name. John had a close spiritual
fellowship with Jesus Christ and he shares some of Jesus’ deepest teachings
” I am the bread of life” John 6:35, “I am the gate” John 10:9, “the true
vine” John 15:1, “The way the truth & life” John 14:6

We learn that without Christ’s Spirit indwelling in us we can do nothing
John 15:5, John demonstrates to us that the work of Christ can continue
only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit in the Lives of believers.

The Light of the world came that we may have fellowship
1. Fellowship With God – Father, Son, Holy Spirit
2. Fellowship with one another

If we walk in the Light as He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one
another 1st John vs 7a

Are you walking in the Light? Are you in fellowship?
