Ephesians 5: 17

God will not do two things:
1. What He has already done.
– It’s done. He calls on us to claim it in faith

2. What you have to do.
– It is our responsibility to take action.

Ephesians 5: 17

Wisdom is the principal- core. Wisdom is understanding what and why you are doing something.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven (Matthew 7:21 NKJV).

After doing the will of God, be PATIENT, you will receive His promise.

For you have need of endurance/patience, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise (Hebrews 10:36 NKJV).

Patience is not just sitting idle but in prayer.
Waiting unto the Lord.

– God has many promises over our lives. We need to wait on them at a place of prayer.

What prophesy has come over your life? You got to trigger it through prayer!

A. Operate in the the will of God

Only those who dwell in God’s will will prevail.

And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever (I John 2:17 NKJV).

God did not create man to die. Death came at the point of disobedience. But God gave grace so that we can abide forever.

Every ones work will be put to test. This is proof of walking in the will of God.

B. How do we know His will?

Ephesians 6: 5 – 7

We are called to do God’s will from the heart.

(… not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, … (Ephesians 6:6 NKJV)

All people on earth represent Christ. Do good to all of them!

May the Lord change the attitude of our hearts to love and serve.

C. How will you know you are operating in the Will of God?

Ephesians 5: 8 – 16

Four things:

1. Walk in the light.

– Be truthful all the time (Vs 8).
– Walk towards the promise in Jesus.

2. Have no fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness (Vs 11)

– If it doesn’t take you to heaven, cut it off today!
– You can’t change people only God can.
– Only expose the truth (Word of God) to your friends. The Word of God has a transforming power.
– Do not get compromised by the world or bad company.

3. Walk in the revelation of what God says (Vs 15)

– Be wise in how you live
– Follow God’s guidance

4. Walk in repentance (Vs 16)

– Redeem the time
– Repent daily until Jesus comes back.
