Grace for Purity

Human sexuality is one of the (if not The) most glorious but delicate and complex gift of God to humans. It’s a display of the workmanship of the Creator in so many ways. The discovery of the intelligent design of human sexuality ought to lead us to stand in awe of God and outbursts of worship for such an amazing gift.

He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, Matthew 19:4 ESV

God has entrusted this discovery and knowledge to Parents, that the gift may be handled with honor, dignity and wisdom. This is one of the privileges of parenting.

For you formed my inward parts;you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. Psa139:13 ESV

The Christian parent doesn’t focus too narrowly and negatively on only preventing sexual immorality and the ravages that come from illicit sex; this goal is too small, too limited, too narrow. Our goal as believers is to model, teach and train our children to behold the wonder of human sexuality in worship and navigate the stages of life pursuing purity.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,¹²training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,¹³waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus ChristTitus 2:11-12 ESV
