In Him we have our being

Scripture: Acts.17:28, Luke 15: 11: 32
The need to belong is a major part of human behaviour and fundamentally motives people to have or establish relationships. Feeling that you belong or are accepted creates a sense of value in life and sometimes helps to cope with lives emptiness and painful emotions.
Finding value for life based on human understanding, knowledge, experience, skill and wealth is pointlessness as Ecclesiastics 1.14 records.
The prodigal son reached a point of hopeless ness and needed to get back to his father where belonged (Luke. 15: 17).
We were dead in our trespasses and sins (Eph 2:1) and separated from God (Eph 4:18), as a matter of fact we were dead in our sins and without belonging (Col. 2:13) and belonged to the god of this age who had blinded and continues to blind the human race (2 Cor. 4:4)
But God made us alive in Christ Jesus for in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28) unbound us from the law of sin and death and ushered to a life without condemnation (Rom 8:1-2) and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son (Col 1.13) Who is the way the truth and the life (John 14:6) and His promises to us who belong are yea and amen (2cor 1.20).
